The Metro Line 2 starts from the Hongqiao Airport and ends at the Pudong International Airport. The first phase of the Metro Line 2 starts from the Zhongshan Park and ends at Longdong Road, where the planned Pudong Railway Station is located. The first-phase line is 13.6 kilometers long with ten stations, while its Pudong section is 7.24 kilometers. In its Pudong section, six stations such as Lujiazui Station, Dongchang Road Station, Dongfang Road Station, Central Park Station, and Longdong Road Station, and a rolling-stock depot are planned. The first-phase investment is about 10 billion RMB yuan, including 142.5 million US dollars for buying carriages. Its construction period is between 1995 and 1999.
