  • Description of the Project:
    Shanghai Pudong New Area has been one of the fastest developing cities in the world. Pudong Century Park is located in the heart of Pudong with a total area of about 140 hectares (345.8 acres). The land allocated to the project is very rare in the city, as an original everglade was preserved just inside the park. We expect all designers involved in the project will produce wonderful ideas and be greatly rewarded.

    上海市浦东新区已成为世界上发展最快的都市区,而浦东世纪公园紧邻位于浦东新区的上海CBD,占地面积达140公顷。该项目就位于上海浦东世纪公园之内,基地内还保留了一块原生态湿地,是大都市中难得的自然区域。我们相信参与该项目的设计师一定会从中获得美妙的灵感并得到丰厚的回报。我公司愿尽最大努力在这块弥足珍贵的土地上创造一个充满梦幻与神奇的环境。

  • Design Intent:

    1. This area should be a place for distinguished personages in politics, economy and culture to hold cooperative talks, and also for civilians and tourists to find new knowledge.

    2. This area is to be a combination of two parts. One is the “exposition hall” which has a floor area of 3000m2 and multiple functions; the other is the “villas” which consists of 8-12 independent villas with a total floor area of 5000 m2.
      The whole area should have multiple functions that include: hotel, conference rooms, exhibition halls, a restaurant, and also some entertainment facilities. Some of the above functions can be assigned to different buildings.
      The “exposition hall” and some villas can be opened to the public.

    3. This area should avoid excessive traffic from people passing through the park. The designer should pay more attention to the harmoniousness of this area and the whole park’s environment.

    4. The architectural style of this area should be modern, with good use of creative space and advanced architectural structures to form a natural, harmonious, relaxed and comfortable environment. The emphasis should not be on overly luxurious or ostentatious decoration.

  • 设计构想:

    1. 能成为一些政治、经济、文化界名流在上海进行经济合作洽谈、会议的独特场所,及市民与游人发现新知的地方。

    2. 由一幢3000m2左右的会所及8—12幢单体别墅建筑(计5000平方米)构成,应具有酒店、会展、商务、住宿、餐饮功能为主,兼有娱乐休闲设施,部分功能可分解到各建筑中。会所及部分别墅应可向公众开放。

    3. 尽量避免大量人流的聚集,注重与周围公园绿化环境的协调。

    4. 建筑风格倾向于现代风格,以创造性的空间和先进的建筑构造和设备形成一种自然、和谐、轻松、舒适的氛围,不特别注重豪华的装饰。
