Investors focus on Century Avenue
GM Automobile Exhibition Office Bldg. & International Bar & Entertainment Center Project Contract Signed
On October 12th, Shanghai Lujiazui Development (Group) Co. Ltd. signed the contract with Shanghai Benyuan Enterprise Development Co. and Shanghai Dejia Real Estate Investment Co., for transferring land use right of plot SN1гн1 and plot SN3гн1 along the Century Avenue. Soon, Shanghai GM Automobile Exhibition Office Bldg. and Shanghai International Bar & Entertainment Center will stand by the side of the Century Avenue.
With the length of 5,000 meters and the width of 100 meters, Century Avenue is a symbolic landscape avenue as a part of Shanghai's west-east transportation axis. Its unique layout of asymmetric lanes and the integration of lanes with 8 botanical gardens and sculpture "Oriental Light" etc., embodies the planning trend of cities in the 21st Century. At the both sides of the avenue, a lot of facilities will be settled, such as Song and Dance Center, Book Store, Art Gallery, International Restaurants, besides the office buildings and display project. So Century Avenue is the most valuable key area in Lujiazui Finance & Trade Zone. Since Shanghai Municipal Government and Pudong New Area Administration made plan to build the Century Avenue into "Cultural Tourist Commercial Avenue", many domestic and foreign investors have come one after another. After it completed in April this year, many projects of commerce, culture, tourism, recreation, entertainment attract a lot of investors. The signing of the first project contract make a good beginning of plots development.
Shanghai Benyuan Enterprise Development Co. is the developer assigned by Shanghai GM Automobile Co. constructing the GM Exhibition Office Bldg. which lies at the south of Century Avenue (near the Pudong Rd. S.) according to the technical requirement and business rules which is confirmed by Shanghai GM Automobile Co.. Shanghai GM will rent the building for displaying and office use. The appearance and function should be first-class level in the world, not only embodying the Shanghai GM as a well-known conglomerate, but also integrating with the whole avenue. The French Charpentier-la Defense company was entrusted to work out the design.
Shanghai Dejia Real Estate Investment Co. is a jointed company invested by Zhejiang Zhelian Real Estate Development Co. and Zhejiang Xincheng Inv. Co.
Shanghai International Bar & Entertainment Center locates at the south of Century Avenue (near the Shangcheng Rd.), covering an area of 8,434 square meters. As planed, It aims to be a comprehensive building integrating high-level bar, recreational facilities and restaurants, attracting investors from all over the world to open bars and restaurants which reflect the features of the various culture. It will distinguish itself with the unique outlook and interior decoration, which will make it into an urban landscape at the side of Century Avenue.
