Pudong International Information Port

The Pudong International Information Port project includes a telecommunications and information center, a high-capacity information transmission network, three platforms for speech, data, and images, and high-tech-supported services such as information collection, production, transmission, and storage. This project has a total investment of 8 billion RMB yuan. Its first-phase investment is estimated at 1.2 billion RMB yuan.

Located in Lujiazui Central Financial District, Shanghai Information Center with a total floor space of 101,235 square meters occupies a site area of 8,250 square meters. It is invested by Shanghai Lujiazui Finance & Trade Zone Development Co. and Shanghai Post & Telecommunications Administration. Its construction began in April, 1996 and will be completed in 2001. The building is a major part of Pudong International Information Port.
