Wu Jiao Chang Town of Yang Pu District enjoys an
extremely favourable position. It lies to the
northest of Shanghai. To its east is Huang Pu River
and with Pu Dong New Area at the other side of the
river. To its west are Songhu Road, Xiangyin Road and
neighbouring Jiangwan Airport which is going to be
developed at a large scale. To its south is the busy

container terminals such as Zhanghuabang, Jungong
Road abd Baoshan are neighbouring our town,the annual
handling capacity of container break over 2 million
T.E.U., about 95 percent of the total handling
capacity in Shanghai harbour is here. Its international
shipping lines link directly with 72 ports in 44
countries and areas. Shipping business is quite
developed. The shipping anchorage of Yangtze River,
the railway station of Yang Pu and He Jia Wan are
also an factor contributing to the development of import and export,
gathering and distrbuting domestic goods as well.
At the meantime, through the Inner Ring Road and
Yang Pu Bridge, the Pu Dong New Area is linked with
our town. By this road, it takes no more than
an hour to Hongqiao Interational Airport. Recently,
the former Jiang Wan Airport, which covers 8.2sqm,
will be developed into a comprehensive developing
area, including finance, commerce, culture, recreation,
industry and technology. Highways radiate in all
direction linking the downtown and the countryside. There
are more than 10 bus terminals spreading in town
here and there.
The advanced program controlled telephone provide
the D.D.D., I.D.D. and facsimile services, The Zha Bei
Power Plant and Water Works can sufficiently supply
electric power and water to meet the demands of
living and production. The town also has vast land
and plenty skilled manpower resources.
Wu Jiao Chang Town economy has various branches
virtually lines and has good material and technical

industry, logistic, estate developing and seven
comprehensive industry and commerce companies,
subordinate about 230 enterprises. The industrial
