Steamed Eel & Fried Crabs




INGREDIENTS

an eel (500g), 2 river crabs, salt, sugar, gourmet powder, pepper, water chestnut powder, chives, ginger, rice wine, fermented soybeans, soy, sesame oil

RECIPE

  1. Make some cuts in one side of the cleaned eel, then pickle it in the mixture of the tied chives, ginger shreds, salt, gourmet powder, rice wine for 30 minutes, after that, coat it with the fermented soybeans evenly.
  2. Place the prepared eel in a dish with its head in the centre, then steam it in a food steamer to be done.
  3. After cleaning the crabs, open the crabs back shells, knife the crabs into pieces, coat them with water chestnut powder, fry them in a frying pot with oil until the shells turn red.
  4. Fry the tied chives and ginger shreds with little oil left in the pot, put in the crab pieces and back shells together with the rice wine, salt, sugar, soy to braise, when they are done, add the gourmet powder, pepper and sesame oil, after turning them together several times, place them in both sides of the eel, shaping them like a crab.
