Zhao Xiaohua ( Xiaohua, C-1980, VC) --- Zhao Xiaohua and her brother are orphaned and separated after their parents are killed by an evil landlord. they lose contact with each other until the War of Liberation when they become fellow soldiers and learn of their kinship after a long series of battles. Zhao Yiman ( Zhao Yiman, BW-1950)---This biographic movie depicts the life of heroine Zhao Yiman who was captured by Japanese troops in 1935 as she helped her guerrilla comrades retreat. She was executed one year later. D: Sha Meng; C: Shi Lianxing, Zhang Ying; M: Northeast.

Zhou Enlai ( Zhou Enlai, C-1991) --- Made by Guanxi Film Studio, this biography of the late Premier Zhou Enlai is the first movie to show his heroic deeds during the tumultuous " cultural revolution, " such as rescuing Marshal He Long and the veteran Chen Yi. The film concentrates on the last 10 years of his life when he worked to restore economic order and normalize relations with the United States and opposed the Gang of Four to his last breath, doing everything he could to save his country and people from catastrophe. The film is spiced with historical scenes from the Great Revolution, the Northern Expedition, the Long March, the War of Resistance Against Japan, the Liberation War and the founding of New China, against which the life of Zhou Enlai is set.
