Peach Flower Fan (Taohua Shan, BW--1963,VC) ---A legendary story of a romance between a famous prostitute and a writer at the end of the Ming Dynasty ( 1368-1644) is featured in this film adaptation of the " Legend of the Peach Flower Fan", by Qing Dynasty playwright Kong Shangren. Peking Duck Restaurant ( ( Laodian, C-1990) --- Through an interview with a centenarian, the early days of Dejuquan, the authentic Peking roast duck restaurant are traced in this film praising China's food culture. D: Gu Rong; C: Chen Baoguo, Xu Songzi; M: Nanhai and Tianma.

Peng Dehuai's Childhood (Shaonian Peng Dehuai, C-1986)---This is China's first film about the childhood of an influential Party leader. Police Officer in 1988 ( Long-nian Jingguan, C-1990) --- Two criminals escape from a prison in Qinghai Province and go to Beijing to kill the police officer who arrested them. The officer sends a policewoman disguised as a domestic helper to work in the home of an accomplice of the convicts, and what she learns there leads to the capture of the escapers. The film also describes the police officer's personal life, especially his romantic involvement with three different women- a policewoman, a fashion model and his wife. President Extraordinary (Feichang Da Zhongtong, C-1987, VC) --- The film focuses on the achievements of Sun Yat-sen, founder of the Kuomintang party, during 1921-25 when he held the post of Presidnet Extraordinary. One of his followers, Chen Jiongmin, rebels against the newly-founded republic in Canton ( Guangzhou). D: Sun Daolin; C: Sun Daolin, Zhangxiaomin; M: Shanghai.
