Our Niu Baisui
Our Niu Baisui ( Zanmen De Niu Baisui, C-1984) --- This comedy, produced by Shanghai Film Studio, is set in Shandong Province and is about the different reactions of farmers to the implementation of the rural responsibility system in the late 1970s. Based on a novelette by a peasant writer, the film is full of comic scenes and dramatic dialogue that make it popular even among urban residents.
