The topic of this symposium is: Fashion Culture at the turn of the centuary--Fashion , Technology, Research and Development. Under this topic the symposium will deliberate on the theoretical and pracitcal development of the clothing industry covering such subtopics as how to suit the 21st centuary clothing industry development, new designing methods of the Garment CAD system, the latest theory and works of master designers, comsumption and sale in the clothing market. Participants to this symposium will include experts, scholars and representatives of institutes in this line from the U.S.A., U.K., Japan, Germany, Finland, Canada, Hongkong, and other countries and regions. Among whom there are such elites as president of London College--alam mata of many world famous designers, president of the Esmond Designing College of Germany, President of the famed Jeanswest International Co.Ltd., and designers recommended by the Hongkong Council of Trade Promotion. Each participant will give a speech on a special topic.

After the symposium a Collected Papers of the 96 International Fashion Culture Festival Fashion Culture Symposiym "will be published, Also, during the process of the symposium, several largest scale displays of master designers works will be held".
